Mom and I are posing with one of the adults in period garb - a school group was preparing to stay overnight and everyone, kids - parents and teachers had to dress and act appropriatly for the period.
This is right outside of Sutter's Fort. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to take pictures inside.
In between Sutter's Fort and the State Indian Museum was a duck pond. Nice place for downtown Sacramento.
Mom is having a warm, bread pudding. My sandwich had some sort of very large mushroom, quite good actually.
I parked in the downtown area for a few minutes to check email, Mom found some old bread in the cupboard and decided to enjoy the warm weather and seagulls.
Mom (left) and I met up with my sister Que (right) and her partner, Vivian (center) at the beach on the west side of San Francisco.
My sister, Que (left) was in SF for a medical conference, so Mom & I met up with her for a short visit.
This beach is supposed to have one of the longest strands of sand in this area, but it may have been washed away in last weeks storm. It was just very rocky.
You buy tickets at a separate Visitor's Center, 5 miles down the hill from the castle. A bus transports tour groups to the top.
We pulled over at one of the many scenic vista points to enjoy the view.
I think Mom liked this tree!

We ate lunch at Andersons Pea Soup Restaurant, but this is the only picture I thought to take.
Mom has visited Sterns Wharf before and remembers it fondly.
I took a side route to take some pictures, so Mom struck up a conversation with some local girls.
Mom finally got a chance to have another campfire. We roasted little hot dogs and marshmellows, quite good actually.
It rained last night and was still raining this morning when Mom decided to check out the beach.
We both enjoyed just sitting here and watching the waves
The creek is behind Mom, just before it empties into the Pacific Ocean.
We stopped here for lunch first, before later finding a campsite just about 1/2 mile north of here.
Well, Mom and I have made it to the third 'corner' in our circumnavigation of the USA.
Ed and Jean are friends of Mom's from the Shelton, spending the winter in Phoenix.
Elva is Raul Jr's other grandmother - so these are his two grandmothers!
Mom was surprised at how large this cactus was.
This is Mom just as she started the Cave tour, still not sure she wants to go through the tour.
